Rejected month names in WP8?

On only one station, in WP8, with and without SP5, when a month name is entered, correctly spelled, and you press enter or space after the word, January turns into a 1/2 sign, March and May stay OK, and all other months disappear. I can make it stop only by turning off the Spell check and grammar check. Have removed and reinstalled WP8 twice, problem always come back. Any ideas where the problem might be originating? <p>Fred Wagner<br><a href=mailto:frwagne@ci.long-beach.ca.us>frwagne@ci.long-beach.ca.us</a><br><a href= > </a><br>

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I've never seen anything like this, so I'll have to take a stab in the dark. Do you have &quot;auto-correction&quot; turned on? If so, can the dictionary be trashed?<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; What about &quot;Perfect-Scripts?&quot; Is there a rogue script?<br> <p>James P. The problem does turn off when you disable auto-spellcheck and auto-grammarcheck.<br>Also, I do suspect a rogue Perfectscript, because after I have unloaded WP8, and started to uninstall it, I get a message that PerfectScript is running, and have to End Task to get it out. Somehow that rogue script survives not just a WP8 uninstall, but a complete DELTREE of the Corel directory. How would a PerfectScript run with no Corel directory? - i've never done any perfectscript work, so I'm in the dark here. Any addtional suggestions would be welcome!<br> <p>Fred Wagner<br><a href=mailto:frwagne@ci.long-beach.ca.us>frwagne@ci.long-beach.ca.us</a><br><a href= > </a><br>

It's been awhile so I'm sure you have this fixed, but in the interest of keeping the discussion going...

This happens to an occasional user here when their personal corel files become corrupt. Usually, you can go into the quick correct list and find that it is empty or missing many entries.

Try replacing their wp8us.wpt and wt80us.uwl files with generic ones or from a different user not having problems. They hold the personal user word lists that are called up by Quick correct. If you are networked, these are most likely in their home directory, not in the Corel directory on their pc and would not be replaced by re-installing Corel files. Be aware they will lose any personal stuff they put in like added words to the spelling dictionary...

Also, try using the pfreg.exe that comes with WordPerfect under Corel/Suite8/programs. Click on unregister, then on register. Sometimes that corrects perfect script problems. (its meant to repair the registry).
