How do I get rid of the "uninstall" data that is saved when I do a Windows Update?

I'd like to be able to "commit" these updates, so that they can't be rolled back. I've found that diskspace is running low on my machine with not very much installed... Mike

Generally compressed folders under \winnt with names like $NtServicePackUninstall$, $NtUninstallQ276471$. If you delete said folders, you won't be able to roll back (they take up about 260MB on machine I'm on at moment). One point though - if you're running short of space - perhaps a larger drive (either replace or additional) might be called for. 260MB is not a lot of space nowadays, and drives are reasonably cheap now.

ok, thx v much Mike
