Resetting destop Icons

Greetings all,

I thought I'd seen this issue asked/answered before here but can't find the thread. My alternate keeps resetting the resolution on our computer to a lower setting cuz she's got eye's like a turtle. I like a nice higher rez to make more real estate available on the screen.

I don't have a problem with her changing the resolution since she has to be comfortable with her usage of the machine, however when I come back on shift all the icons have rearranged themselves in the upper left of the desktop. Is there a utility somewhere that I can use to reset or back up my desktop icon locations?

And why can't the screen resolution be account specific just like all the other settings?

There are some 3rd party utilities that keep your resolution and save icon positions but use at own risk!! Just google it and you'll find free downloads for both.
