Saving an EPS file

I am currently having trouble saving a freehand file as an EPS. I am working on a Mac OS 9.1 using Freehand 10. The option is there to save the file as an EPS but when I click "save" and later check the icon on my desktop, it doesn't have the little 'EPS' tag and, consequently, I cannot import the file into Quark. This is the first time it's happened. I've tried reinstalling but to no avail. Please help!!!

Try using 'File > Export' rather than 'File > Save'
