Not sure if this is an SBT or SBS fax server issue. All works well when I manually enter the receipientfax number when using the SBS fax server, but if I use the address book to select a fax number, after clicking on "finish" to begin the faxing process, the following error message appear from SBT: 'GC_COMPID' is not found.

This error is unique to SBT, and only occurs when using the address book to select the receipients. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Raymond

I am no sure about SBS fax server, but that error is because the company id (00-99) was not selected.
Are you faxing within SBT? or is this an external program.
Try going into that Company, for exmaple AR and CO xx, then try faxing. Once you 've selected a company, gc_compid gets populated with the Co. ID (Example ABC CO xx)

Yes I am faxing within SBT (I select the fax server as my printer), and a company is selected initially when I start SBT. I will try selecting a company again prior to attempting to fax from within Sales Orders. Sales Orders are what I am mainly interested in faxing.

The thing that doesn't make much sense is that the error only occurs when I select the address book to choose who to fax to. If I manually enter the phone number there is never an error.

Thanks,
Raymond

Anyone have anymore thoughts on this one? To recap, I can print to our SBS 4.5 fax server without any problems if I manually enter the phone number, but if I click on the address book on the fax menu to select the recipient, then the "'GC_COMPID' is not found" error appears and it kicks me out of SBT. It only does this in SBT, I can print to fax from all other applications and am able to select the recipient from the address book without a problem.

SBT/ACCPAC data files include the company number. What's probably happening is that Your address book is trying to reopen SBT to get some data.

Just to clarify, it lets me go into the address book to select my recipient and also to choose whether to send a cover sheet or not, it's after I select "send fax" that the error appears.
