Sending email is slow after body_checks

After configuring postfix to do body_checks to filter out unsafe attachments, sending out email is really slow from Microsoft Outlook. Here is the content of the boy_checks file:

# Remove unsafe attachments
/filename=\".*\.(ade|adp|bas|bat|chm|cmd|com|cpl|crt|exe|hlp|hta|inf|ins|isp|js|jse|lnk)\"/ REJECT
/filename=\".*\.(mdb|mde|msc|msi|msp|mst|pcd|pif|reg|scr|sct|shs|url|vb|vbe|vbs|wsc|wsf|wsh)\"/ REJECT

Does anyone know what's wrong? It takes like 3 minutes sometime to send out an email.

Thanks,
Danny

I know nothing about email body checks.
But I have recently pushed and poked a postfix/pop3 mail server from being a real slug, into working instantly.
Its all to do with user authentication, dns lookups, entries in /etc/hosts, and /etc/resolv.con and /var/postfix/etc/resolv.conf.
Could you have changed anything there at the same time as doing your body presses ?
Just my $0.02 worth.

Edit.
When you say "It takes 3 minutes to send an email" what precisely do you mean ?
Sending from windoze/outlook to postfix, OR postfix delivering to the next mailserver ?
Can you telnet from your windoze client to the postfix server on port 25 ? How long does it take to respond with the postfix message banner ? It should be instanto.
What message do you get from the postfix server to this command
nslookup -sil w/station_name
where w/station_name is the hostname of your windoze computer ?

pretty sure I didn't change anything else... but I do have backups and I'll do a comparison. I do do this it's something to do with user authentication. I'll keep looking.

Thanks!
