Hey I am trying to dig way back in my brain on setting up a spree code on an Option 81c. I have a request to setup a number that will auto dial a spree code of 4486. Any configuration help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Wait, you want to set up a spre code, not the SPRE . . . . let me look.

Thanks. So the option may be to setup a phantom extension and have that number hot dial 4486? I setup an analog phantom extension. How do I setup the hot dial or auto forward?

Let's pause. There.

A Phantom is best described as a "Forwarder". You dial one number (the Phantom), it converts, or "forwards" you to another number.

An example is someone that works on the road. You want them to have a four digit extension. You make a Phantom that forwards callers to the workers 10 digit cell phone.

What you might be asking for is a "Key on a phone that when pressed, dials 4486". In that case, let's say you picked KEY 6 on a phone. Add it like this:

KEY 6 HOT D 4 4486

If you have a analog phone, in a lobby for example, that you want to call 4486 whenever it is picked up, just build a typical analog phone, but make these additions:

CLS MNL
FTR HOT D 4 4486

Forgive my ignorance here, GHTROUT. I appreciate your help. Let me give the full view of what I am doing...

I have Cisco wireless phones that need to dial 4486, forward across the TIE and dial the 4486 spree code. I have created the route pattern on the Cisco side, so I am covered from there. The thing I need to do now is bascially build a phantom number that dials the 4486 spree code. So someone from Cisco dials 4486, gets forwarded to Nortel x2001 (phantom) and then forward to that spree code. I built a phantom x2001 but I don't know how to get it to dial the spree code. Thanks again.

To add the forward destination to a Phantom TN, you add this at the end of the TN, in the FTR section:

FTR DCFW 4 4486

There are a lot of Nortel specific buzzwords. We go by a strict dictionary so everyone is talking about the same thing. When you say spree code, we all think "Oh, SPRE, the [red]S[/red]pecial function [red]PRE[/red]fix that precedes activation of a feature" SPRE. I could go into more detail, but maybe my answer about Phantoms will steer you where you need to go.
