Setting up analog trunks

Got a Mitel 3300 that was donated to the local church. The system still has its original programming (it was a call center with a couple of T-1's) and I need to drop it down to 2 CO trunks.

I did go to the analog trunk form and have cab 2 shelf 1 slot 3 circuit 1 type 4 port LS already in place but when I try to assign a trunk number I keep getting a "trunk number not assigned" popup. so I cannot continue (or actually start)

From what I can tell it looks like I have to program the analog trunks first then program the trunk group then the trunk attribute then go to the ARS and load the trunks to hand me an outside line when the outside number is dialed.

anybody want to give me a hand on this?
