Hi all,
Long time reader of Tek-Tips, first time poster (I think!). I've always found this place useful but I haven't been able to find an answer to my current issue.
I've configured a few SIP trunks through Gamma before, never had an issue. This setup is a little different.
In the past, I've used a random STUN server as Gamma frustratingly doesn't have one but this has worked fine.
On the current setup I am working on, Gamma have supplied the internet line and it is on a private circuit. This means the system can contact the Gamma media gateways but cannot access anything else on the internet. So no STUN is possible. I spoke to our Avaya supplier and they said this isn't an issue, we just have to make sure the correct ports are open on the firewall. I have done this, and the system is now receiving phone calls. However, it can't make any.
Calls appear in system status but them dissapear in a couple of seconds. I have noticed that there is no Registration on the line but I assume this has something to do with there being no STUN. I'm hoping this isn't an issue as the system can receive calls I think possibly the URI or outbound configuration needs a little tweaking. When dialing on a phone, the message "Rejected" comes on the screen.
I can provide trace or config if needed.
Thanks in advance.
