some network reports show incorrect description

Folks,
I am finding that after Autodiscovering the network via SNMP, my "By Class" and "Generate Report" describes a network device incorrectly, yet "By manufacturer" report is correct.

In the basic network diagram the shape of the device is correct, but when I ask to "Generate Report" it incorrectly reports numerically it is a 3Com Superstack II 12 port hub, - it should be a 3com 1100(3C16950)24 port switch.

In all cases I am using the same Autodiscover database.

Any ideas ?
