The answer may be somewhere in the Microsoft site, but...
I'm wanting to learn more about SQL and plan to install the desktop engine. The MSDE implementation of SQL 2000 is stated to run using Win XP Home Edition, whereas its successor, SQL Server 2005 Express is stated to require Win XP Professional.
Can someone advise if the 2005 flavor will run on my XP Home PC and save me some time?
