I am a project manager for and we have several starplus STS systems crashing after the tech upload the database after it was downloaded from one KSU and uploaded to another or ever the same ksu. Any suggestions
i have downloaded it with WinDBA version .08 then under tools upload to file. then you have a file that can be uploaded into the sts via hyperterminal. There is another post about this, i will try to find it.
Here is the quote from PBXinfo.COM I was looking for
When using WinDBA do not any partial uploads, it corrupts database .
I set up full database in laptop and then do full upload and then tweak with phone interface. Also do not try to pgm through modem with With winDBA.
You can connect and download with DBA, then make changes, but don't try to upload with DBA via modem, it will stop after 2048 bits and then default the system !!! Go to the tools tab and select "Upload to file".
This will creat a .dnl file which can be uploaded via modem using the hyperterminal interface. For real small remote changes just use the hyperterminal interface.
Call Vodavi. They will most likely tell you they have to send you System Software EPPROMS. An install a friend of mine did had porblems with caller ID on line 3. vodavi sent him a new caller ID daughter board and it didn't help, finally they said they will send new chips.
