Recently the start menu and taskbar on my computer has become slow and sometimes freezes for up to 30 seconds before opening a window. The operating system is XP and I have a DSL internet service provider. Could someone please look over my highjack report below and suggest what the problem. I have tried just about every suggestion I have come accross for troubleshooting the system. My virus scan program intitally found a backdoor virus (OPENME.exe) but it was deleted and subsequent scans have turned up nothing because I have not been able to reconnect to the internetsince the incident occurred. I hav also run several scans to try to remove spyware. The Modem works-I just can't get the IE pages to open. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Then, reboot and see if things improve.

Post back and advise.
