I have an option 61c , and aout 12 days ago I had a ring generator go out on my 20 shelf, after looking up guides I i shout down the 20 shelf...... then turn on and the ring generator came back, a few days later the RG light went on the 24 shelf (same colum, this time I shut down both shelfs and they reset. Over the weekend on the 20 shelf I lost an entire analog card had to move 16 phones, left 1 unit on bad card and this morning it was disabled. Any ideas on what I need to do? Also can you tell me the commands on how to remove the bad card and then install a new?

Thank you this site is very helpful and you are all great to take the time to assist others!

To replace a line card, just

>LD 32
.DISC L S C (Loop, Shelf, Card)
Then swap the card...Then
>LD 32
.ENLC L S C (Loop, Shelf, Card)

Done.

To replace the Ring Generator, power down the shelf, replace the card, power up the shelf.

If you have a bad analog card, it will cause a issue with the ring generator. Try replacing the faulty analog card.

Thank you, so you think that if I remove the bad analogue card this could be my problem?

Thank you so much!!

If your ring generator is not bad, this should take care of your issue.

I now have the ring generator going out on the 24 shelf same colum, Need to repair I have a new RG card just not sure what shelf to replace, had issues on both shelfs. I have read several post, IN ld 137

Any ideas if this was the issue. on the 20 shelf the RG had shut down this is not the 1st time when the last couple of weeks. On Monday I had same is but with 20 shlef though it was a bad analog card so I moved tn and removed card.
Any ideas..... need to get repaired correctly.

Thank you

Has any major changes been made to the configuration recently as the errors seem to point to an old reference I've found below. It's not actually the same but it may be on the same track?

A problem developed on a site whereby only one shelf of system was found to be closing down
causing MSF...What was happening was that the controller/nwk card was requesting a download
giving an XMI0000 with the text as above . This suddenly started happening after six SUPV wallboards were fitted apparently ,this problem as been seen before mainly in Europe.

The PROBLEM was found to be that all six w'bds had been prog'd onto supv's on that shelf and with all the extra messaging created the nwk/ctlr cards couldn't handle it.
The SOLUTION is to spread where the switch allows, the wallboards/supv's to be on different loops shelves of the system.

All the best

Firebird Scrambler
Meridian 1 / Succession and BCM / Norstar Programmer in the UK

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

no major changes the only thing is I have added 2 mck 1100 -analog extenders and ip based extender since march 2010. I am not sure what you mean by:

Where and what, would I find this information? Can you give ld and command lines please?

Thank you for your response and help.
