Text Variables problem

Hi

I'm new to Authorware (2 weeks). I'm trying to create an online assessment (english & maths) and one of the questions has a text field with text already inside which the user has to alter. I have managed to do this ok using the PresetEntry variable but the problem is that i can't save the altered text into a variable, i have tried the my_variable:=EntryText but it's not working.

Any ideas????
