Hello,

We are using OneWorld version 73.2 (soon to upgrade to XE). I am new to the system, and am wondering about tracking system usage. There doesn't seem to be an out of the box way to track who uses the system (either on a run-time or a historic basis). I'm interested to know if anyone is tracking who is logging into the JD Edwards system at their site. Perhaps there are tables that contain this data, and therefore reports can be created...

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!

Thanks!

This depends on wether your backend is an AS/400 or NT. From experience on an NT SQL server 7 setup there is no builtin tool to monitor system usage. This is partially due to Microsoft not releasing their full specs to JDE re SQL I believe. There are tables you can monitor such as Job queues and we have an inhouse application which can monotor then and report on problems such as too many error status's etc. There is also the SAW admin tool which you can use to see whos logged in however unless you can work out the JDE api's its hard to get this info with an external program.

Good luck we are in a simular boat ourselves.
