this is one that will sure stump many and sure has me stumped. I have a win 2003 SP2 Domain Controler with 1 NIC
this server is multi-homed with 2 ip address on the same subnet 192.168.1.x subnet 255.255.255.0
sometime in the last few days i have started to see a message on the console indicating ip address conflict. I know this not to be but I'll bite anyway. Check all workstations and devices and sure enough NO conflict. So i dig further and i notice that the nic icon in the system tray showing the yellow bouncing ball and stating aquiring network address. This server is static assigned and network propties is set to specify address. Next i run ipconfig and i see my 2 static address /ALL indicates dhcp:NO and a third ip address of 0.0.0.0 subnet 0.0.0.0 as in aquiring dhcp. The server does not show any error or pertinant messages in the event viewer and for the most part operates the way it is supposed to with a few quirks.
ANY IDEAS???
