This group is always so full of it (information that is).

I need some help with zip tones. I can't find the option where you turn on the zip tones.

Can someone help me please.

I have a G3Rv10 with about a 350 person call center. The CS manager would like to turn the zip tones on for one of the skills. If it works the way he wants it to then he wants it turned on for all skills.

Thanx
S Chupp

You just turn on auto-answer for that agent and instead of ring they get zip tone and the live call.

Make sure they leave their headset on and they might want to keep their mute button on until they get the call. Our agents were good about being right in the middle of their hot date description when the call came in and the caller got an earful.

I've found that the zip tones were not enough notice, so we use the VOA (VDN of Origin Announcements) so agents go a little whisper before the calls, then the zip.

And if you have a normal call center, yes your agents will have chit-chat with their neighbours about anything from lunch to yesterday's hot date, so I prefer VOAs. Record them at 16kbps to not waist space. You can have a mini recording of a MS Windows BING!

Thanx to both of you for your input. I personaly don't think a zip tone is enough time but adding the VOA is a great idea.
