Apologies if this is a real no brainer, but it has me stumped at the moment.
How do you send a line break to an output/log file from a shell script (I mainly use KSH)

Cheers

Steve

I am assuming you want a new line... If so, the \n will send a new line to the output/log file.

Thankyou Bfitzmai,
See I knew it was something really simple, obvious and easy for me to forget ;-)

Also just a [tt]print[/tt] or [tt]echo[/tt] by itself will send a newline.

Steve has now gone to sit in the corner facing the wall, feeling really really stupid
